Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego to move into Varso place

July 22, 2019

Varso Place, located just a doorstep from Warsaw Central Station, is being developed by HB Reavis based on best practices, focused on creating healthy, productive and sustainable workspace. Next spring, it should open its doors to 1, 200 Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) employees. The contract is for 5 years.

It is our core belief that every person has the right to a modern workspace that supports personal development, reduces stress and has a positive impact on health. It is not an accident that our premises were chosen by BGK, as it is ranked as the most valued employer in Poland for fostering an engaging work environment, as reflected by the Top Employer certificate it was awarded earlier this year. According to a company-wide survey, as many as 83% of its employees are proud to be working at BGK. The relocation to Varso Place will provide them with even better everyday working conditions and opportunities for growth.

BGK is yet another company at Varso Place supporting Polish socio-economic growth, innovation and entrepreneurship. The new office of the only state-owned development bank in Poland will occupy approximately 12,400 sq m of office space in Varso 2, a building within Varso Place. Almost three-quarters of this building’s space has already been leased less than a year prior to the planned completion of construction works. It will also be home to the science and technology campus Cambridge Innovation Center.

At Varso Place, employees will appreciate great connectivity to the city via Warsaw Central Station and direct access to numerous bus, tram, underground and railway transport options. Moreover, the complex will offer a wide range of public amenities including a shopping arcade, a PZU Zdrowie health centre and a Zdrofit gym.

The designers kept in mind the importance of people’s circadian rhythms by ensuring access to natural light and maximising soundproofing. Symbiosy, our smart building technology solutions, will allow for individual temperature control and efficient indoor air quality.

All of these efforts have been recognised with the highest “Outstanding” grade against the BREEAM Interim certification scheme and a WELL Precertificate measuring the impact of buildings on people’s mental and physical health.

Notes for editors:

Offering a total of 144,000 sq m of leasable space, Varso Place will consist of Varso Tower designed by Foster + Partners as well as Varso 1 and Varso 2 designed by HRA Architekci. The construction of above-grade storeys is currently underway on all three buildings. Varso 2, which BGK will move into, is scheduled for completion in early 2020.

Argon Legal advised HB Reavis in the transaction with BGK and the client was represented by the Kaczmarczyk Orzechowski law firm and supported by Nuvalu Poland.
