Varso Place exhibited at the Museum of Warsaw
In cooperation with the Museum of Warsaw we have updated the model of high-rise buildings at its permanent exhibition available in the Old Town Square. From Autumn this year tourists and residents visiting the Museum of Warsaw can admire the model of the new tallest skyscraper in Warsaw – Varso Tower.
Established in 1936, the Museum of Warsaw conducts exhibitions, research, publishing, educational and cultural activities. Its headquarters are 11 historic tenement houses on the Warsaw’s Old Town Square, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Varso PlaceThe Old Town is the place where the old Warsaw began to emerge.
City’s first streets and buildings have been erected right here. Today, forests of skyscrapers are growing in other districts, including Wola, where Varso Tower was built. At the Museum of Warsaw in the Old Town Square we can see the history of these buildings. We can see the history of Warsaw's growth
says Karolina Ziębińska-Lewandowska, Director of the Museum of Warsaw.
The main exhibition of the Museum of Warsaw begins with the history of individual objects to talk about the events and people who determined the contemporary Warsaw. Its part, Warsaw Data, allows us to see the economic and social transformations of the city, which speak about the political affiliation, its spatial and demographic development, architectural metamorphoses and transformations. It is here that the mock-ups of the historically tallest buildings that gave Warsaw its present shape are located. From Autumn 2022, visitors to the Museum of Warsaw will discover its newest element – a model of the Varso Tower.
Varso PlaceThe Varso Place project we developed has changed a neglected part of Warsaw.
Thanks to this, a new place was created that is friendly to people who work and meet here, but also to tourists visiting the capital. We are proud that the Varso Place building is represented as a model in the Museum of Warsaw
adds Marcin Chruśliński from HB Reavis Poland, which built Varso Place.
