Varso Tower’s green lobby
Tall trees of the bucida buseras species, known as "shady lady" or "black olive", are already taking root in the Varso Tower's spacious lobby. The green grove creates a unique atmosphere inside the office building, which will be admired by the skyscraper's regular visitors and tourists on their way to the observation deck at its top.
Skyscraper filled with trees
Twelve tall trees that were planted in the main hall of the skyscraper are a unique undertaking, the origins of which date back to 2015. It was then that the landscape designers proposed an exotic small-leaved species of bucida buseras, which fits perfectly into the spacious lobby of Varso Tower. The "black olive" or "shady lady", which grows indigenously in Mexico, Central America, Florida, and the Caribbean, will now also delight the employees and guests of the tallest tower in Warsaw.
Taking care of each plant
The trees came to Poland from a Dutch arboretum, where since 2019 they grew for our Varso Tower. They arrived in a temperature-controlled transport. During planting, the lobby was heated with specially constructed heat tunnels. They were planted by a team of several experienced people. Mature trees were embedded in 1.5-metre-deep concrete pots so that their roots could grow freely.
Through a green lobby to the observation deck
Everyone will be able to enjoy the trees, since they are planted in the generally accessible part of the office tower, where one can also find elevators leading to the viewing terraces and restaurant at the top of the building. It is accessible both from Chmielna Street and from Jana Pawła II Ave.
