Around 600 enthusiasts, world-class athletes and invited guests competed in the first edition of Varso Tower Run. The winner climbed the stairs of the skyscraper to a height of 230 meters in just 7 minutes and 27 seconds. The organizers donated 40,000 PLN to the Polish Humanitarian Action.

The runners had to climb almost 1,400 stairs to the 53rd floor of Varso Tower. The world champion in towerrunning, Piotr Łobodziński, turned out to be the fastest. He triumphed with the result of 7 minutes and 27 seconds and set the route record. The second place was taken by Paweł Ruszała (7:36), and the third place on the podium was taken by Germany, Andreas Fruhmann (7:49). The fastest among women was Iwona Wicha, who finished 9:28, clearly ahead of the two Austrians: Gertrud Blumenschein and Veronika Sengstbratl.

An important element of the event, under the honorary patronage of the President of the Capital City of Warsaw, was the support for victims of the war in Ukraine. The HB Reavis Foundation will donate a total of 40,000 PLN to the Polish Humanitarian Action.

A few special guests took part in the race: actress Karolina Gorczyca, Olympian and Polish representative in the 400m hurdles run, Emilia Ankiewicz-Obukowicz, and architect Jędrzej Kolesiński from the Foster + Partners studio that designed Varso Tower. Almost 100 people representing the community of Varso Place tenants and their guests also took part in the towerrunning challenge.

The event organized by HB Reavis and Sport Evolution was sponsored by the CMS law firm and the PZU Zdrowie medical center. The partners also included Zdrofit, NYX Hotel and CIC Warsaw.
